A quiet
post.

Twelve years. Eight hundred quiet decisions — most of which no one will ever know about. That's the point. Selected plates from the field archive.

The first six months of a post are the most dangerous. Not because of the threat, but because the officer is still learning the floor, the camera angles, the names of the concierge team. We staff the same people on the same posts for months at a time.

The man in this photograph is on his 1,432nd shift at this property. He knows the night manager by first name. He knows the security desk at the building next door. He has called the non-emergency line four times in twelve years.

Every Cavallo site has a named lead. Not a rotating manager. Not a regional director who drops in once a quarter. A specific person, with a specific phone number, accountable for the specific post. The lead has been on this post for an average of 31 months.

That's unusual. Most security firms rotate leads every 90 days. We don't. The longer a lead stays, the more they know, the less of a chance anything goes wrong.

Our patrol vehicles are marked. That is a deliberate choice. The point of mobile patrol is not stealth — it is presence. A marked vehicle on a marked schedule reduces the chance of an incident by approximately 60%, per RCMP data we keep in a spreadsheet.

Stealth is for executive protection. Marked is for everything else. The 12-min response time we promise is real — measured across 18,400 incidents, not a sales claim.

The repertoire

Four disciplines,
one standard.

We staff across four core service lines, each with its own specialist team and lead. The training differs. The standard does not.

Two security firms in a row picked the brutalist direction. The one that picked editorial sent us a thank-you note.

— A pattern we keep seeing

EST. 2014

Founded on a simple idea:
protection is a craft.

Cavallo was founded in 2014 because the founder spent a single uncomfortable evening at a private event where the security was loud, the staff were under-trained, and a minor incident escalated because nobody on post knew the protocol. The next morning, he started a different kind of company.

Today, we work with hotels, private estates, galleries, film productions, and Fortune-500 firms across British Columbia. The mandate hasn't changed. The roster now numbers 180+ officers, a 24/7 dispatch operation in downtown Vancouver.
